After many days of waiting, finally, beta 5 of Android 12 has been released. Compared to the previous three betas, beta 5 does not have many changes as the information announced by Google.
Beta 4 and beta 5 are two versions that are said to be complete for Android 12. Beta 5’s interface is also the official interface and it will be the interface for Android 12. Google is testing the stability of beta5 before the release of Android 12.
We do not know the specific date when Android 12 will be released. Google just states a general period of “a few weeks from now”. I guess that maybe it’s in September.
Beta 5 adds a search bar in the app drawer. Its function is “Search your phone and more”, of course, it’s not like a web browser search.
The Pixel 5a has been offered beta5 of Android 12. The phone was just released and it doesn’t come with beta 5 pre-installed so you need to download and install it.
OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Asus, Xiaomi, and others have partnered with Google, so their mobile devices are all updated to the beta versions of Android 12. If you’re using older beta versions, you’ll be automatically updated to beta 5.
Based on Android 12, manufacturers will upgrade their software. For example, the Color OS 12 software will be released by Oppo at the end of the month; beta for Samsung’s One UI 4 will hit the market in September.
